IT Project Management Basics: project lifecycle, project charter, Gantt chart, task prioritisation, MS Project (intro), team collaboration tools (Trello, Asana basics)

SEMESTER 2 — Advanced Applications (6 Months):

Advanced Computer Applications:

• Accounting software: TallyPrime basics — creating company, ledgers, voucher entry (payment, receipt, purchase, sales), viewing reports (Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet); basic GST concept in Tally
• ERP concepts: what is ERP, modules (Finance, HR, Inventory, CRM), leading ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally) overview

Web Development:

• HTML5 advanced: semantic elements, forms with validation attributes, canvas basics, responsive images
• CSS3 advanced: flexbox layout, media queries, CSS variables, simple animations
• WordPress: setting up a website, choosing theme, adding pages and posts, installing plugins (SEO, contact form, gallery), basic customisation without coding
• Basic JavaScript: variables, functions, DOM manipulation (getElementById, innerHTML, addEventListener), simple interactive webpage

Introduction to AI and Cloud:

• ChatGPT and generative AI: understanding how large language models work, effective prompting, use cases (writing, summarisation, coding help, Q&A), limitations and hallucinations, privacy considerations
• AI productivity tools: using AI for document summarisation, email drafting, presentation creation, data analysis
• Cloud computing concepts: what is cloud (public, private, hybrid), service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), benefits and use cases; cloud storage tools: Google Drive (advanced features: sharing, version history, team drives), Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox
• Google Workspace (G-Suite): Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Meet — professional usage and collaboration features

Industry Internship (mandatory, 4 weeks): practical work placement at a company or under a mentor; hands-on experience with real IT tasks; internship report submission and presentation

Final Project: develop a small application (e.g., student fee management system in Python, small website for a local business, Excel-based MIS report system) OR complete a detailed case study demonstrating skills from the program
